Front End Engineer

Full Time

As a Front End Engineer, you'll shape customer experiences that allow everyone from an assistant to a master tailor to quickly and easily order custom clothing. You'll also create marketing tools that allow our tailors to merchandise their collections through ecommerce, email, and social media.

What you’ll do
  • Consistently ship high-quality code to production
  • Redesign our Made to Measure (MTM) Ordering System
  • Decide on a Front End Framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc)
  • Work closely with our product designer to turn hifi prototypes and lo-fi wireframes into reality
  • Maintain quality standards. Stay up to date on best practices and enforce them with code reviews
  • Proactively find problems or gaps in our codebase and fix them
  • Own your apps: Fix, bugs, talk to users, and regularly update your existing applications
Who we’re looking for
  • A self-starter that can get stuff done with little supervision. We expect for you to fill in the blanks and work with your teammates to get it launched.
  • An in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus experience in popular add-ons like Bootstrap and jQuery
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue and Angular
  • Familiar with connecting to internal and external APIs
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS, PostCSS, and LESS
  • You can debug across multiple browsers
  • You aren't afraid to set up a build system using Webpack
Bonus
  • Experience writing automated tests - Jasmine, Selenium, Headless Browsers, etc.
  • Leadership or project management experience
  • Familiar with React/React Native
  • Mobile development experience

Fullstack Engineer

Full Time

As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll build complete solutions for our internal team, customers, and partners. Our roadmap contains everything from a new public Rails API to a redesigned inventory system to a stock ordering tool for tailors.

What you’ll do
  • Consistently ship high-quality code to production
  • Work closely with our product designer to turn hifi prototypes and lo-fi wireframes into reality
  • Rewrite and Redesign our Internal Tools
  • Rebuild our core customer experience
  • Maintain quality standards. Stay up to date on best practices and enforce them with code reviews
  • Proactively find problems or gaps in our codebase and fix them
  • Own your apps: Fix, bugs, talk to users, and regularly update your existing applications
Who we’re looking for
  • A self-starter that can get stuff done with little supervision. We expect for you to fill in the blanks and work with your teammates to get it launched.
  • Ability to empathize with our users and really listen to their requirements
  • Strong CS fundamentals, deep knowledge of our stack (Ruby, Rails, MySQL, JavaScript) and a desire to learn and master your craft
  • An understanding of application performance (Big-O and profiling) and data structures
  • Database Skills - 3rd Normal Form is “normal” to you; You can write complex SQL by hand and you're familiar with ORMs.
  • Experienced in styling web pages using CSS, SASS, and Bootstrap
  • Familiar with automated testing

Junior Front End Engineer

Ridgeland, MS
Full Time

As a Junior Front End Engineer, you'll work with our product designer and backend engineers to drive positive experiences with ordering, marketing, and customer management. You'll work on our existing codebase of PHP and jQuery, you'll begin updating that codebase to use modern JavaScript frameworks, and you'll build new features.

What you’ll do
  • Regularly deploy high-quality code to production
  • Collaberate with senior engineers and designers and build those applications to spec
  • Modernize the existing application (PHP and jQuery) by iteratively migrating it to a JavaScript framework
  • Port our iOS mobile app to React Native
  • Launch new features like Parts Ordering and Multiple Measurment Profiles
  • Maintain quality standards. Stay up to date on best practices and enforce them with code reviews
  • Proactively find problems or gaps in our codebase and fix them
  • Own your apps: Fix, bugs, talk to users, and regularly update your existing applications

Junior Fullstack Engineer
